Our homes promise

We never photograph client homes for marketing, and we never publish images of them. No photos, addresses or names, on this site or anywhere else.

What we collect

If you fill out the contact form: your name and email, and, if you give them, your phone number, where your home is (Ketchum, Sun Valley, Hailey / mid-valley, Stanley Basin, or other), how you heard about us, and anything you write in the notes box.

When you browse the site: Google Analytics records the pages you visit, roughly where you are, your device and browser, and how you got here. It also records three actions: sending the contact form, tapping our phone number, and tapping our email address.

If you came from a Google ad: the link carries a click ID (a gclid parameter in the address). Google uses it to tell us which ad led to a visit or an inquiry.

On every visit: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps standard server logs, including your IP address. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views, without cookies.

How we use it

Contact form details are for getting back to you about your home: a call, a walkthrough, a quote. That's it. We don't add you to a mailing list.

Analytics tell us which pages people read and which ads are worth paying for. We look at totals and trends, not individual visitors.

We don't sell your information to anyone.

Who else sees it

Google. The contact form sends your details through Google Apps Script into a Google Sheet, and emails us a copy. Google Analytics and Google Ads run on Google's servers. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy, and explains how it uses data from sites like ours.

Cloudflare. Cloudflare hosts the site and runs Web Analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Nobody else. We'd only hand anything over if the law required it.

Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and similar) to tell one visit from the next. When you arrive from a Google ad, Google may also store the click ID in a cookie so an inquiry can be matched to the ad. Inquiries and phone and email taps are passed to Google Ads as conversions.

Cloudflare Web Analytics doesn't use cookies.

How long we keep it

Google Analytics keeps visit-level data for 14 months, then deletes it. Cloudflare keeps its logs on its own schedule.

Contact form submissions stay in our sheet and inbox until we no longer need them, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

You can block Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's My Ad Center.

To see, correct or delete what you've sent us through the contact form, email taylor@hdlosv.com.

Children

This site is for homeowners, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.
